the signs of your kingdom,
that dulls our passion
to live your love.
Enthuse and energise us
to work for reconciliation
and relationship,
refresh our response
to your call,
and fit us to be
your disciples.

Keep us ready, Lord,
to guide others to know you;
not only by the words we say,
but by the lives we live
and the love we reveal,
by valuing all,
by our care and concern
for each person,
by seeing and honouring
your image in one another,
that all may know your love.

Your love, Lord,
brings us to birth,
creating and forming us
in your own image,
breathing your spirit
and your life
into our very being.
Give us the grace
to honour that gift
in one another,
to see each other person
with the same eyes of love
with which you see us.

Hear our prayer, Lord,
for all who live in fear
of need and want,
of violence and war,
of isolation and loneliness;
rouse us to work together
and for each other,
in the love that drives out fear
and draws us by the hope
of your kingdom
of justice, peace,
and mercy.

to the love which transforms
all hatreds and enmities,
all selfishness and greed,
all conflict and division;
