We are human beings, Lord;
by our very nature
we yearn for relationship and meaning.
Help us to find our meaning,
and focus ourselves,
not on things which cannot last
or which turn us in upon ourselves.
Help us rather to find ourselves,
our meaning,
our joy
in you.
