we want to be faithful,
but we end up
denying you anyway;
we want to seek justice,
but we end up
finding scapegoats anyway;
we want to follow you,
but we end up
betraying you anyway,
nailing you to your cross.
Yet you forgive us,
and you lead us
to new life.
