Teach us, Lord,
that every life is precious,
regardless of class, creed,
colour, circumstance or clothing.
Remind us to value one another
as your children.
Challenge us
never to see others
as pawns for our
profit, politics or propaganda,
but to see people you love.
(The morning after 31 people drowned in the Channel, being trafficked while hoping to find asylum in the UK)
