Give us courage
in our faith, Lord,
that like Joseph of Arimathea,
we may stay true to you
even when,
to our eyes,
there seems no hope.
May we know
that you are
the God of life and love,
who brings
resurrection
from crucifixion,
and turns
our mourning
into dancing.
