Convict us, Lord,
of the stupendous truth
that you, the living God,
chose to die for us
and to rise again
that we might share
in your new life,
your new covenant.
Inspire us
to live for you;
to follow your call,
to embrace your will,
to show and to share
your love.

Reassure us, Lord,
that we approach you,
and one another,
not in the strength
of what we have done,
or can do,
for ourselves,
but in the grace
of what you
have done
for us.
Take from us
any fear of
unworthiness;
remind us instead
that you see us
with eyes
of love.

in your great love for us
you transformed sacrifice
from our daily work of aspiration,
to your once and for all work of salvation.
As we daily plead your sacrifice,
remind us that the work is done,
that we offer cross and empty tomb,
that our new life is won.

the depth
of your love
for us, Lord,
in making
a new covenant
with your
own blood
on the Cross.
You showed that
there is no length
to which
you will not go
to reach us,
embrace us,
hold us,
save us.
Keep our hearts
fixed on you,
as yours
is fixed
on us.

Lord, help us
inhabit the reality
that you opened
the way
for us to live
in your presence,
that the curtain
which kept us separate
has been torn in two.
As your Spirit
dwells in us,
binding us
to one another
and to you,

remind us all of our
interdependence,
of our call
to nurture one another
as we are nurtured in you.

with your Holy Spirit;
