Give us a longing
for your kingdom, Lord:
a longing not only to see
the day when your kingdom
shall come in all its fulness;
but also to see the ways
in which your kingdom
is being revealed
among us day by day.
Make us ready
to welcome
and embrace you
afresh
today.
