Keep us alert, Lord,
to your call upon us
to do the right thing,
to seek the blessing
of another,
to meet the needs
we encounter,
even when
custom, rule
or tradition
say we should
turn away.
Give us
clarity of vision,
depth of wisdom,
and the strength
of your love.
