May we hear your call, Lord,
to step aside from the paths
of self-absorption,
self-obsession,
and self-glorification,
to pull away from a focus
only on ‘me and people like me’.
Help us to let you lead us
into your way,
guided by your
mercy, grace,
and love for all.
