Remind us, Lord,
of the gospel you give us,
the love you give us,
the peace you give us,
the ministry you give us;
keep us faithful to you
and to our calling
as your people.
May we never claim
our own prejudices as yours,
and so pervert your call
to peace,
to love.

in your love
and make us heirs
of the promise
of your kingdom,
bearers of your image.
May we never fail
to see that image
in others,
share our hope

show your love

of all that is

to know more and more of you,
to be soaked in your Word

that we are your body,
sisters and brothers
together with all
who follow you;
your whole Church,

of our unity in you

in proclaiming your love

from following the gods
we make for ourselves,

material wealth

in your gospel
and your kingdom.
If the storms of life
assail us
and the solidities
and sureties
we have built
for ourselves
fail to stand,
remind us
that your house
is built not on sand,
but on the firm rock
of your love,
welcoming
and open

Recall us, Lord,
day by day,
to our vocation
of showing your love to,
shining your light for,
and sharing your life
with others;
convict us of
the surpassing value
of each person,
each bearer

Help us to meet you,

never to turn away from you;

as you prayed
we would be.
Take from us
all sense
of them and us
within your church;

as a sister or brother

to use our gifts

in private life

remind us that you came,
not to congratulate
perfect people
(for there are none),
but to save sinners.
