You call us, Lord,
and appoint us to be
not advocates for
the ways of the world,
but ambassadors
of your kingdom;
a colony of heaven in earth,
to bring to bear
your love, mercy and peace
in the lives of all around us.
Strengthen and inspire us
in our mission today.
