Make us fluent, Lord,
in the language and the ways
of your kingdom;
the language and ways
of love, of light, of life,
of promise, of passion, of peace.
Whatever we face in life,
joyful or sorrowful,
light or heavy,
rough or smooth,
may we respond
as your disciples.
