Lord,
when we are
tempted to work
on the world’s
operating system
of power,
of greed;
when we find
our focus
pulled in
towards self
at the expense
of others,
or even of truth;
strengthen us
with your love
and turn us again
to others,
to kingdom,
to justice,
to you.
