Encourage us, Lord,
to attend to the ground
in which we grow,
the foundation
on which we build;
for that ground
and foundation
is our dwelling in you,
as you dwell in us.
Keep us from
a preoccupation
with tribalism
or pride in
our own legacy;
keep our focus
on you.
