Light of the World,
shine upon us,
shine within us,
shine through us;
illuminate our lives
and the life of the world
with the light of your love.
Draw us ever closer to you
that we may become
ever more like you,
shining for our communities,
for each other,
for you.

so close to you,
that we
cannot help but
reflect your light
and radiate your love
into the world,
drawing others to you.
In all we are,
in all we say,
and in all we do,
may we glorify your name

that all may know

to welcome you
into our lives,
and into the lives
of our churches
and communities,
as king;
king of love
and king of peace.
Help us to listen to your voice,
not just the echo of our own,
and truly to be your people

to recognise
and to welcome
your presence among us,
to rejoice at your love for us,

Keep us, Lord,
from the
narrowness
of thought
that would
sacrifice people
on the altars
of profit,
or prejudice,

Fix our eyes

Your love for us
