or power for ourselves,
but to pursue healing, humility
and wholeness in you;
sharing your love, life and light

Take from us the desire
to possess for ourselves;
fill us with longing for peace.

of your glory
and the wonder of your grace;

into the plains and valleys of life,
as we reveal your kingdom
and show your love,
building your community,

open our hearts and minds,

as Messiah, as Christ,
and commit ourselves
to following you,
revealing your kingdom,
and showing your love to the world.
Help us bear the cross and its costs,
that all may see in us
the fruits of your grace.

seeking to quell
our anxieties and fears
with the analgesics
of power, position,

but the true peace you offer,
