Hold us, Lord,
to your passion
for justice, mercy
and truth;
bring us up short
if we find ourselves
making choices
that are not full
of your love.
When we serve
our own ends,
or run
with the crowd,
remind us
that our call
is to follow you;
in you is life
and peace.
