Save us, Lord,
from our human
propensity
and predilection
to reject, to mock,
to condemn, to destroy
that which we
do not comprehend;
give us instead
a thirst to understand,
to seek relationship
and the wisdom
that comes from
remaining open
to the other
and to you.
