In our yearning
to know you, Lord,
remind us that
we are first
known by you;
deeply, intimately,
thoroughly, lovingly.
Though we are
wont to wander,
to chase after
other gods, idols,
your faithfulness to us
never falters,
your love for us
never fails.
Keep us true.
