Lord, remind us always
that you sit upon
the throne of the kingdom
not as a mighty warlord
parading the trophies of victory,
but as the lamb who was slain,
the Prince of Peace,
bearing the scars of love;
who calls us to be not warriors,
but peacemakers living love.
