May our joy at your birth, Lord,
bring to birth in us a faith
that is strong, sure and stable;
a faith that even amidst
controversy, crisis, or conflict,
stays true to your love,
to your hope, to your peace.
Fill us, like Stephen,
with your Spirit
and with wisdom.
