Lord, the exuberance of the crowd on Palm Sunday
slowly turned to their baying for your blood by Good Friday,
and even your disciples betrayed, denied & deserted you.
Give us strength to own our human weaknesses,
yet not to be owned by them,
but to trust in your love.
