Lord, may we, like Simon of Cyrene,
be ready to shoulder your cross.
May we, like the penitent thief,
be ready to admit our own failings
and receive your forgiveness.
May we be ready to pray
for those who hurt us,
and reveal your saving grace
to a hurting world.
