Help us, Lord,
not to remain wedded
to the desire for the Law,
as checklists of behaviours,
of rigid patterns
that remove our agency
and stifle our conscience.
Teach us instead to rejoice
in our freedom
to choose loving responses
that flow from
your working in us.
