Keep us, Lord,
from a focus on ourselves,
on our position or prestige;
rather keep us mindful of your love
and inspire us to show it to others.
Give us hearts that yearn
to see the lowly lifted up
and the hungry fed,
that your image
may be seen
and honoured
in all.
