Lord, in our waiting
and in our watching,
in our advent anticipation,
you make us ready
to encounter you anew,
to know you as
Emmanuel, God with us.
In the peace proclaimed by angels,
in the presence of your Spirit,
in the promise of your kingdom,
be with us today.
