Give us a longing, Lord,
to be nourished
in our whole being
by that which
truly sustains us.
Divert us from
seeking an excess
of the world’s
ephemeral goods
which cannot satisfy;
lift us to find
the lasting treasure of love
for you, and for neighbours
near and far.
