Lord, give us the wisdom
to embody, to exercise,
to encourage, to expect
and to elect
the kind of leadership
that you envisage;
the leadership of grace, not greed;
of compassion, not domination;
of mutuality, not selfishness;
of humility, not pomp;
of love for all.
